In preparation for the opening of Kansas' first lottery gaming facility in Dodge City, KS, the Audit and Electronic Security Division of the Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission is committed to ensuring the electronic gaming machines used in Kansas have been thoroughly scrutinized for compliance with our technical standards, rules and regulations.
We adhere to the highest levels of integrity and exceed industry standards. in order to ensure that we have contracted with an independent testing laboratory to provide mathematicians, information technology professionals, electrical and mechanical engineers and gaming industry experts to thoroughly test each electronic gaming machine and lottery facility game.
We don't stop with the independent test laboratory in our efforts to protect the public. The KRGC also subjects the electronic gaming devices to further scrutiny in our laboratory here in Topeka by our highly specialized staff. We have information technology security personnel and certified public accountants on staff that have been trained in gaming technology and industry best practices who subject the electronic gaming machines to further review.
Only after such review and authorization by the KRGC Commissioners and Executive Director may an electronic gaming machine or lottery facility game be offered to the public for play in an authorized lottery gaming facility.
In these photos we have the first certification stickers being affixed to the electronic gaming machines utilized in our Topeka test lab.
